Concessionary Discount Card

What Activities are Included?

Our Concessionary Discount Card can be used at any Sheffield City Trust venue plus Graves Health and Sports Centre, Thorncliffe Health and Leisure Centre and Wisewood Sports Centre.

Sheffield City Trust venues will also accept Places For People Leisure's Sheffield Saver Card Plus as proof of eligibility for our concessionary discount. When you present your card at our venues, you will be issued with a Concessionary Discount Card free of charge. You will then be able to use this card at our venues as normal.

Our Concessionary Discount Card is available to anyone who wants to become more active but may find it difficult to afford leisure activities. As a Concessionary Discount Card holder you can access all activities at Sheffield City Trust venues at a 40% reduced rate. Activities include swimming, gym, fitness classes and court hire.

Am I eligible for a Concessionary Discount Card?

If you receive one of the benefits or entitlements below you are eligible for our Concessionary Discount Card. You can join the scheme for just £5. Simply bring your proof of eligibility with you on your first visit.

Income Related Benefits
✓ Income Support

✓ Income based Job Seeker

✓ Income related Employment Support Allowance (ESA)

✓ Pension Credit (Only applicable to adult receiving benefit)

✓ Working Tax Credit

✓ Child Tax Credit

✓ Universal Credit

✓ Housing Benefit

✓ Children under 18 of families qualifying for the above means tested benefits should also be entitled to the discount

Qualifying Disability Entitlement

✓ Disability Living Allowance (DLA) (Only applicable to adult or child receiving allowance)

✓ Personal Independent Payment (PIP) (Only applicable to adult or child receiving PIP)

✓ Blue badge holders (Only applicable to adult or child who is a blue badge holder)

✓ Attendance allowance (Only applicable to adult receiving allowance)

✓ War disablement pension (Only applicable to adult receiving pension)

✓ Disabled person bus pass or railcard (Only applicable to adult or child receiving allowance)

✓ Severe disablement allowance (Only applicable to adult or child receiving allowance)

Other Qualifying Entitlement

✓ Children who are looked after by the local authority

✓ Young carers (if they have a Carer Card, Young Carers Assessment or a letter from their school, GP, MAST /social worker or from Sheffield Young Carers as evidence that they are a young carer. (Only applicable to young carer)

✓ Care Leavers (a letter must be provided from the Leaving Care Service to qualify) (Only applicable to adult or child who is a care leaver)

✓ Carers, unpaid adult carers with a ‘Sheffield Carers Centre Carer Card’ as explained on their website (Carers Card must be shown to qualify) (Only applicable to adult carer)

✓ Asylum seekers (Applicable to ARC/ASPEN/S95 Grant letter/Mears Accomodation Proof)
