It’s with great sadness that we share the news that our Trustee and friend, Graham Moore MBE, passed away at the weekend.

It’s with great sadness that we share the news that our Trustee and friend, Graham Moore MBE, passed away at the weekend.

Graham was a Trustee of Sheffield City Trust for 17 years supporting our efforts across the City and guiding the Charitable Purposes Committee with a determination and wit that engaged many communities. A valuable sounding board, Graham was never shy in giving his views.

As well as Sheffield City Trust, Graham supported many local charities and organisations alongside a long career at Westfield Health and a long-held passion for Sheffield United Football Club.

David Grey MBE, Chairman of Sheffield City Trust said: “Graham will be sadly missed by all his fellow trustees and colleagues at Sheffield City Trust. An inspiring individual with a strong commitment to doing everything he could in support of Sheffield, he was instrumental in developing our community work, valuing local input to design activities in partnership. Everyone at Sheffield City Trust sends their thoughts to his family at this time.”

Andrew Snelling, Chief Executive of Sheffield City Trust, added: “A keen supporter of inclusion and access to sports, Graham will be missed by the whole Sheffield community. His influence across the City can be seen in so many organisations, large and small. Challenging, supportive and engaging, Graham was a fabulous member of the trustee board providing significant guidance to the organisation for over a decade. He will be sadly missed.”
